The workforce is going mobile. According to Forrester, more than half of employees carry at least three devices for work. And many are bringing their own smartphones, tablets, and other devices to work, a phenomenon that’s grown so popular it now has its own acronym—Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). For this report, Zebra Technologies analyzed the state of the warehousing marketplace among firms in the US and Canada with at least $15 million in annual revenues. The online survey asked IT and operations personnel in the manufacturing, retail, transportation and wholesale market segments to share their insights and business plans over the next five years, in light of a rapidly changing industry.

The following report, sponsored by Zendesk, is based on an online survey of 1,044 U.S. consumers who have received online or phone customer service. The research goal was to better understand present customer expectations and to quantify the impact of customer service on business results. Questions were asked about past experiences with customer service, as well as preferences and opinions. Certain questions were repeated from a similar 2013 survey to enable trend analysis.
