As the number and variety of threats mushroom, an Ovum survey has found that security teams have become physically unable to respond in an appropriate way to the ones that actually matter, with 50% of respondents in India saying they deal with more than 50 alerts each day. Shockingly, for 6% of organizations, that figure rises to between 100 and 1,000 threats a day. The Solution? Ovum believes that security decision-makers should invest in centralized management capabilities, enabling them to control the disparate security tools in their infrastructure, and address the challenge of prioritizing the volumes of daily alerts they receive. Download the Report to find out what else Ovum has discovered about security practices in India.

Odds are fairly high that there is sensitive data on your corporate network that is overexposed and itching to escape. But will it ?Forrester thinks so – in a recent survey, 22% of security decision makers reported a data breach in the past twelve months, and at an average cost of $7.2 million per breach, it’s no shock that organizations are constantly working to strengthen their defenses.

As businesses plunge into the digital future, no asset will have a greater impact on success than data. The ability to collect, harness, analyze, protect, and manage data will determine which businesses disrupt their industries, and which are disrupted; which businesses thrive, and which disappear. But traditional storage solutions are not designed to optimally handle such a critical business asset. Instead, businesses need to adopt an all-flash data center. In their new role as strategic business enablers, IT leaders have the responsibility to ensure that their businesses are protected, by investing in flexible, future-proof flash storage solutions. The right flash solution can deliver on critical business needs for agility, rapid growth, speed-to-market, data protection, application performance, and cost-effectiveness—while minimizing the maintenance and administration burden.

If your business is like most, you are grappling with data storage. In an annual Frost & Sullivan survey of IT decision-makers, storage growth has been listed among top data center challenges for the past five years.2 With businesses collecting, replicating, and storing exponentially more data than ever before, simply acquiring sufficient storage capacity is a problem. Even more challenging is that businesses expect more from their stored data. Data is now recognized as a precious corporate asset and competitive differentiator: spawning new business models, new revenue streams, greater intelligence, streamlined operations, and lower costs. Booming market trends such as Internet of Things and Big Data analytics are generating new opportunities faster than IT organizations can prepare for them.

IT decision-makers at most enterprises understand the benefits that the cloud has to offer: increased agility and more predictable budgeting, among others. In many organizations, in fact, “cloud first” has become the mantra when seeking out new software solutions. But often, enterprises are less clear on the specific use cases of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and how providers can help deliver IT capabilities that meet their needs and help them to achieve desired business outcomes.

In this paper, we address critical questions about the implications of Open Compute on the upstream power infrastructure, including redundancy, availability, and flexibility. We introduce simplified reference designs that support OCP and provide a capital cost analysis to compare traditional and OCP-based designs. We also present an online TradeOff Tool that allows data center decision makers to better understand the cost differences and cost drivers to various architectures.

For many years, companies have been building data warehouses to analyze business activity and produce insights for decision makers to act on to improve business performance. These traditional analytical systems are often based on a classic pattern where data from multiple operational systems is captured, cleaned, transformed and integrated before loading it into a data warehouse. Typically, a history of business activity is built up over a number of years allowing organizations to use business intelligence (BI) tools to analyze, compare and report on business performance over time. In addition, subsets of this data are often extracted from data warehouses into data marts that have been optimized for more detailed multi-dimensional analysis.

It’s important for American manufacturers to stay current if they wish to remain successful? Positioning yourself for growth means looking to the future and gaining efficiencies through new technologies? That’s why this question may be the most important one for your business— are you a future-ready manufacturer? Before you can adequately answer that question, you and the members of your organization need to know the answers to these three questions: X Where are we today? X Where do we want to be in three to five years? X How can we embrace innovation and automation? If decision-makers in your organization can’t answer these questions, you have bigger issues than you may realize? At the very least, tackling these tough questions now will put you ahead of competitors who are consumed with putting out today’s fires rather than focusing on growth opportunities?
